With the help of state-of-the-art technologies, the Human-Machine Systems Engineering Group at the Department of Mechanical Engineering of the University of Kassel develops innovative user interfaces. As of late, the striderVR platform of pathbender GmbH is used for this purpose.
Flush-mounted in the floor of a 3-sided CAVE, it enables the simulation of natural motion through a wide variety of virtual environments. This way, augmented reality-supported pedestrian navigation systems can be tested in a realistic manner.
We are looking forward to receiving feedback from this outstanding research institution!
